TANGO HISTORY An opportunity to look at some of the historical aspects of Argentine Tango from its golden age till the present, including some videos as well as live demonstration of steps and its evolution.

Monday 28 march @ Zero Hour “The Dome”

 

LAPIZ & PLANEOS The class will look at “Lapiz” (Pencil) and planeos (turning on one leg extending the other leg free of weight), which are among the family of movements for turning using one leg as the axis. Excellent for balance and a good base for more advanced movements such as “enrosques”. Applicable for leaders and followers. – the class will be followed by the practica supervised by Noel & Pablo.

TANGO SECRETS & TECHNIQUE The class will focus on exercises especially designed, which will touch base with the essential aspects of tango technique, in order to develop a smooth and connected dance – Applicable for leaders and followers.

Wednesday 30 march @ Zero Hour “The Dome”

 

SOLTADAS COMBINATIONS The class will look at soltadas as part of the improvisation in the dance, the soltada (from the Spanish “soltar” means let go) is the element that dancers use to break the embrace or to change it into an alternative way of connecting to the partner. Through a series of exercises and combinations designed for the class Pablo and Noel will help you understand this element to include it in your dance.

BARRIDAS FOR MEN & WOMEN The class will look at all the possible forms of barridas in very precised and detailed way in order to lead you to a better understanding and execution of barridas as part of your dance vocabulary.
